I saw those hanger doors, at first I was like no thank you. But know that I think more about them; I am thinking of some possibilities. Yeah, 32 blocks really seems excessive, but the stock ones that only go 2 blocks are frequently useless. Even end-to-end, that's really not a lot of hangar opening. I like the fact that the mod sticks with stock appearance and functionality and just stretches them out. I'd use the 4-8 length ones all the time! Pretty much what I was thinking.

I have read and heard that OKI is not going to be up keeping his weapons mod. I watched CaptainShack's spot light video on this nice weapons mod

That weapon mod kinda terrifies me. "Big Bertha"?!? That shoots small ship grids, does it not?

Well, Big Bertha will obliterate just about any small ship. However, Big Bertha is a fixed cannon and will require external hardware to move about. Her primary idea is stations and large, slow moving ships. Any small ship that gets blown apart by Bertha deserves it. It costs 1,800 iron and 550 magnesium to make each round, making it expensive to operate. The gun itself also weighs about 1.1M Kg and fires at about 4 rounds per minute. The ship here is 68 blocks long. If anybody thinks they want to build it, more power to them. The rest of the guns in this mod looks pretty cool. The vulcan cannon looks like it'll be killer anti-missile point defense.

The way that I read it, they will work fine up to Keen changes the code / or whatever for guns then thats where users of the mod will be looking for a new mod, as OKI as stopped work on the mod. So we should be ok for now. I only throw the other weapons mod out there for consideration later on.

Have you considered trying Midspace's Exploration Ship Scan? ( steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=364731781 ) It adds another use for antennas and is a handy tool for those of us that mostly like exploring for odds-n-ends, and anyone who has lost track of a pirate ship they were salvaging. Because it only picks up unpowered ships/structures that lack any owned blocks it isn't a threat to player's secret bases (provided they keep them tidy - a good incentive!), while making a nice tool for salvagers (like yours truly) to find and clean up battlefields of half-exploded ship remains. It is of course designed mostly with exploration mode in mind which... I don't know, does this server have exploration on in addition to passing pirate ships? Eitherway, its a mod I would recommend! Tidier server, more exploration fun, and since its just a script its pretty lightweight if I recall - thoughts?

We have exploration ships turned off. It got pretty nightmarish. We'd regularly have over 200 ships spawned in, some in the same physical space as their predecessors. It got so bad all of my server time was spent battling the rising tide of ships. Some of the ships have ridiculous amounts of resources as well. I think I counted nearly 2000 uranium ingots on one ship, with other things besides. It's a fairly broken feature when I'm trying to foster an economy of sorts. As far as I know, they haven't fixed any of them. I'm actually rather proud of our NPC ship mod. It was built by our own community and some of those ships are pretty formidable! We really don't need the exploration ships anyway. Some of the NPC ships run silent or have a narrowed broadcast sphere. And then there were the archive SATs... There will be plenty of this and more in the coming chapter. This is what we were seeing, ALL over the place. Slowed the server down something fierce!

Oh, and here's another I found. As you can see from the text box, the 'extra' ships wouldn't allow interaction, so we couldn't delete them.

Updated the modlist to include everything in the server thusfar. I will be adding a camera mod next update. Right now the money is on Sage's Overlay

I like that mod. Might I also propose a mod that can process stone into other materials. Would give folks something to do with excess stone instead of just pitching it out as trash and potentially gumming up the server. I use this one in my stand alone worlds. It allows you to to convert gravel to other materials. The amount of the output is scaled based on the rarity of the output material. Unfortunately, it also adds a couple other blocks that may not be desired. This one also from the same author has a block that will just convert stone/gravel to iron.

Since there is only one use for stone, and it being so abundant. *lowers head* I know I guilty of dumping stone. Edit: Maybe if this is implemented, we'd limited to one per faction. Or two depending who far spread apart the group is.
